With live English Premiership football returning to our screens this month, many English football fans will be absolutely thrilled by the prospect of watching the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and many more teams playing each other again in their grand stadiums packed to the bleachers with fans cheering them on. The excitement and adrenalin rush generated by these fans make live English Premiership football a different experience of its own and very much unmatched anywhere else around the world. The football played by the teams is often action-packed and full of unexpected twists and turns, which has resulted in the English Premiership often recognised as the most unpredictable and dramatic football league in the world.

Recent reports have stated that the average age of English football fans packing the stadiums to catch their favourite Premiership team is 41 years old, and that has worried the authorities and various involved establishments that there will be decreasing numbers of fans travelling to the stadiums to watch matches. However, there should be no cause for concern. Despite the advances in technology that has resulted in most football matches anywhere in the world easily available from homes, whether through TV or from a computer connected to the Internet, football as a sport has survived many generations of changes, and still the stadiums are packed to the brim in many cases.

Consider the average 41 year old who still visits the stadiums for live English Premiership football. This is of no surprise with the prices of season tickets in the modern game. The 41 year old fan would naturally have more monetary resources to afford the tickets. And if they have a family, you can be sure that their passion will, in most cases, be passed on to their children, if any. Never discount the possibility of him or her bringing friends or relatives to the games either, and that could lead to an expanding fan base indirectly.

English Premiership fans who stay glued to their TV sets for live football are often referred to armchair football fans, and that is not an unreasonable assumption. But many of these fans are also young children all over the world who do not live in England, nor have easy access to the stadiums. But do not discount the passion of these youngsters nor the hold that live football action can provide, as they will still support their favourite teams as they grow older and are financially more capable. When that comes along, who can say definitely that they will not make a trip down to the stadiums to watch their teams in close up live action, several times a season?

The key to all this is that every football fan knows that, despite the inconveniences of having to travel to the ground and all the hassles of queuing for tickets, drinks and sitting under the sun or rain, nothing quite beats the electric excitement of being in a live atmosphere of a football match. With the non stop cheering, unique club culture and fan base in the English Premiership, the attraction is even larger and more alluring. Live English Premiership football will always be alive and well, and grow stronger through the ages.
